NEFS invites busy parents to drop their children at Kids Camp, our exclusive onsite children's experience. Just think of it—while you enjoy the Show, your kids will be safe and sound, making new friends as they take part in crafts, waiter races, art projects and other culinary related activities. Come have fun with us as we learn about super foods, how our taste buds work and how to manage the hustle and bustle of a busy New England restaurant. We promise lots of fun and laughter.

No one under 18 year of age will be permitted on the NEFS Show floor regardless of affiliation or circumstances. This includes infants and toddlers. Absolutely no strollers or infant carriers (worn or carried) are permitted at any time on the NEFS Show floor.

  • Kids make their own nametags
  • Getting to know you games
 
10:00–10:30 a.m. -- Food Trivia 
  • Food bingo and a trivia card game about healthy eating.
 
10:30-11:00 a.m. --  Snack 
  • Snack will be served in our indoor park complete with teeter totter, picnic blankets and trees for shade from the hot February sun! 
 
11:00-11:30 a.m. -- Waiter Races 
  • Race with a giant egg and spoon 
  • Fill your pot passing beans in measuring cups with your team 
  • How fast can you run with your tray and not spill?!
 
11:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m. -- Art Project 
  • What are super foods? 
  • Kids will design their own super hero capes and masks to wear and take home featuring their favorite super foods
 
12:00-12:30 p.m. -- Lunch 
  • Join us for a picnic lunch and games in the park 
  • Lemon twist, fishing, beach ball toss 
12:30-1:00 p.m. -- Free Time 
  • Enjoy our anytime activities
 
1:00-1:30 p.m. -- Food Magic 
  • Get hands-on with some magic tricks 
  • We’ll set a beautiful table. Can you master the tablecloth trick and remove the tablecloth without knocking off the plates?
 
1:30-2:00 p.m. -- Transition 
  • Goodbyes and new welcomes 
  • Name tags and napkin origami!
 
2:00-2:30 p.m. -- Food Science 
  • There’s both an art and a science to preparing a delicious meal; we’ll explore how mixing various ingredients can help make you a top chef (…or maybe a big mess!)
 
2:30-3:00 p.m. -- Hungry, Hungry Hippo 
  • A twist on this classic game where kids are the hippos. Ride on scooters to scoop the food faster than the other players. Scooping healthy foods earns more points
 
3:00-3:30 p.m. -- Snack 
  • For those needing a little rest from the day’s activities, we’ll have a story to share
 
3:30-4:00 p.m. -- Art Project 
  • We’re making our own laminated placemats to remind us of healthy food choices at home
 
4:00-4:30 p.m. -- Food Jeopardy 
  • Have fun answering food related questions about the New England area
 
4:30-5:00 p.m. -- Herb Garden Planting 
  • How do our taste buds affect how we enjoy our food? What can we add to food to bring out the best flavors? 
  • Kids will plant their own herb garden to take home to spice up their own food at home
 
5:00-5:30 p.m. -- Free Time 
  • It’s been a fun day. Time to wind down with some free time. Enjoy the anytime activity of your choice
