Author of The Kruse Report, a column on foodservice trends appearing monthly in Nation’s Restaurant News, Nancy Kruse is the best-known and most-widely quoted menu analyst in the restaurant industry. Prior to founding her own company, Kruse was Executive Vice President of Technomic, Inc., a research and consulting firm servicing the food and foodservice industry.

Kruse studied at the University of Wisconsin, where she was a Woodrow Wilson fellow in Russian Literature. She also received a Master of Arts degree from the Film School of Northwestern University. More recently, she completed coursework at the Culinary Institute of America, where she is a frequent lecturer.

In addition to The Kruse Report, she blogs regularly on food-related topics on the LinkedIn website.

An in-demand speaker, Kruse has addressed groups throughout the U.S. and abroad, and is an active member of the Women’s Foodservice Forum and Les Dames d’Escoffier International.
